Frequently Asked Questions

Q: The race I was in says "Gallery Archived". What does that mean?

A: We have found that most race participants buy their pictures within a month of the event. By archiving them, we keep the galleries a bit cleaner and easier for more recent participants to find their event. This also keeps seaches from slowing down which usually makes people happier.
Q: Can I still order pictures from a gallery that has been archived?

A: Sure thing! There is a small archive retrieval fee ($5.00) that you can pay via PayPal. Just go to the "Send Money" tab and send $5.00 USD to FlowingDesert@gmail.com as a purchase of services. Be sure to indicate what race you are looking for and what your race number was for the race. You will get an email with a private link to all the pictures we found for you as soon as we can dig them up (usually 12-24 hours) along with a coupon code good for the 30 days your gallery will be available.
Q: Why are race pictures always so expensive?

A: Well, as a runner and triathlete, I have asked the same thing before. Let me assure you that it is not because photographers are greedy and trying to put the squeeze on athletes. We strive for the highest quality and that requires professional photographers, expensive equipment. My blog post on this has more details and this page (not affiliated with Flowing Desert Photography) has it's own explanation. Rest assured that while we are trying to make a profit, we are closely watching our costs to keep your race picture prices as reasonable as possible.
